Calculation of Cost

Multiply the width and length of your quilt, then multiply by the price per square inch.

Example: 59 x 72 = 4248

4248 x 0.02 = $84.96

Minimum Charge of $40

I can provide 80/20 Hobbs backing. Price will depend on size of quilt

If 80/20 Hobbs is not your preference, I can purchase at a local quilt shop on your behalf and charge you the cost of the batting. 100% cotton, bamboo, wool, etc

Our comprehensive backing service includes piecing your quilt backing, squaring it, and ironing for a seamless finish.

If you provide the binding, ready to sew on - $.03 per running inch

If you provide the fabric and wish for me to sew a double binding with mitered corners to the front or back of quilt, ready for you to handstitch - $.06 per running inch

If you would like the binding completed, I will sew a double binding on front and machine sew the front - $.12 per running inch

Up Along Quilting will return the completed quilt with excess batting and fabric in tact. If you wish to have your quilt squared off, meaning excess fabric and batting cut off, ready for binding, please let me know. This service is at no extra cost, and all remnants will be returned to you.

I prefer that you give me an idea of what design and thread colour you wish to be used on your quilt. If you leave it up to me, I will choose the design and thread colour that I think will complement your quilt top and fabric, no complaints of choice please.

At drop off, I will help you choose one of the many designs on my pro stitcher premium; if one of those designs don't catch you eye, we can visit one of the many websites that sell designs. The purchase of the designs usually cost between $10 - $15. I will charge half the price of the design.
